Where gold once flowed, so did beer.
During Beechworth’s gold rush years, classic English ales were brewed to quench the thirst of miners, travellers and locals alike. Beechworth Bitter is our modern tribute to those historic beers and the brewers who came before us.
Pouring a warm copper hue, this English-style Best Bitter showcases a rich malt profile built from Voyager Veloria, Biscuit and Voodoo malts. Aromas of freshly baked bread and light toast are complemented by a gentle biscuit sweetness.
On the palate, earthy Fuggles hops provide the classic bitterness that defines the style, balancing the malt character and delivering a smooth, approachable finish.
Brewed with pure spring water drawn from our historic Beechworth well, this beer continues a brewing tradition that stretches back more than 150 years.
